About

The Student Nutrition and Dietetic Association (SNDA), sponsored by the Nutrition Sciences program at UNLV, provides its members with leadership, networking, and volunteer opportunities while raising awareness about nutrition and physical activity. The association’s creed “By the Students, For the Students” represents the positive impact that its members make in educating the public and helping each other.

Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. We combine food banking (warehousing canned and boxed goods), food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused meats, bread, dairy and produce from hospitality and grocery outlets), and ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada.

UNLVCaresFoodPantry_logoUNLV Cares Food Pantry | In 2010, several members of the President’s Advisory Committee (PAC) organized a holiday food drive to benefit members of the UNLV community who were facing economic duress due to the doreced pay cuts and furloughs. The response from both donors and recipients were tremendous, thus creating UNLV Cares Food Pantry. The year-round pantry, open to all students, classified staff, faculty and professional staff, currently provides non-perishable items to more than 150 persons every two weeks.
