What is the Active Member Award?
Our Active Member Award is presented by the Nutrition Science faculty each semester to those members that complete 10 or more volunteer hours. The Active Member Award looks great on a resume and shows your dedication to making SNDA a better organization.
Members will need to track their service hours and turn them into an SNDA officer before the announced deadlines.
We have 2 categories of services hours. SNDA Event Participation Hours and Community Service Event Hours. Members can earn hours in both categories and at least 2 of the 10 completed hours should come from SNDA Event Participation Hours.
Active members help our organization grow and flourish! We look forward to seeing everyone at a future event!
How Do I Submit Service Hours?
1. Download the service hour tracking form which can be found here.
2. Bring your form to the events and have either an officer or volunteer coordinator sign off on the hours completed.
3. Use our quick reference guide to help distinguish which events fall into each type. (SNDA Event vs Community)
4. Once your form is filled out please scan it or snap a photo and email to the SNDA Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org
! | If you’re turning in the hard copy in lieu of emailing, then please retain a copy for your personal records and store it in a safe place. It’s good to remember everything you accomplished for future internship or job applications.
!! | Oh no! If you did not complete 10 service hours then please submit any service hours completed anyway. Our Constitutional Bylaws allow you to remain eligible for the Active Member Award as long as the missing hours are completed before the Award Ceremony.
!!! | Did you do more than 10 hours? That’s awesome! Go ahead and submit everything as we find creative ways to recognize your special achievement.
