The A-Games is presented by Families for Effective Autism Treatmentent (FEAT) is usually held at Sport Social. They are needing volunteers to help during the practices and final event. This is a fun, rewarding opportunity to work with children on the autism spectrum and their families.

Green Our Planet (GOP) is a creative, entrepreneurial, non-profit conservation organization that operates a free crowdfunding platform. GOP offers a unique funding and educational model to help individuals and organizations reach their mission goals, while supporting innovative education and conservation efforts. GOP achieves its mission by actively partnering with foundations, individuals, organizations and corporations to collectively create positive impact in environmental education and change. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Green Our Planet also runs one of the fastest-growing school garden programs, The Outdoor Garden Classroom, in the United States. Through its crowdfunding platform, Green Our Planet simultaneously offers the public an opportunity to both learn about environmental challenges and to help fund green projects that can help solve some of those challenges.
Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition (SNVBC) are looking for dedicated and reliable volunteers who are interested in furthering the coalition’s vision and mission. The coalition is comprised of voting board members and committee volunteers all helping to advance the safety and infrastructure of biking in the valley.
* You do not have to be a cyclist to be a part of the coalition. The majority of the initiatives include safety, infrastructure, vulnerable road users laws, and monthly/quarterly coalition engagement activities.

Veggie Buck Truck (VBT) is the valley’s first mobile farmers market. Rosalind Brooks, the founder of the Vegas Roots Community Garden who launched the VBT, is looking for volunteers to help her run the Veggie Buck Truck. Healthy Hunger Free Kids is a government program that provides support to a large number of underprivileged children and families. The program is teaches about grocery shopping, healthy cooking, and fun educational classes. Volunteers are needed to help with sign in’s, lead children in activities, and make outreach phone calls. Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.

Aid For AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) provides support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada. AFAN works to reduce HIV infection through prevention education to eliminate fear, prejudice and the stigma associated with the disease. There are a number of ways that you can students can get involved in this worthwhile organization.
